Editorial interface

• The idea arose in 1979 originally in connection with music printing.
• Replaced eventually the menu-based usage.
• Difference to the spreadsheet programs:
  The smallest unit of processing is always a byte as in text processing.
• Editor controls all aspects of working.
• This fundamental way of working may be replaced e.g. by a graphical interface.
